| 커리큘럼 Curriculum |
| 1. General English ===>While students usually start in week 1 of any module, they may be able to start mid-course depending on their English language level. Please ask when you apply.
2. English for Academic Purposes ===>The English for Academic Purposes course aims to:
Develop skills and strategies in
Speaking and understanding English in academic contexts
Speaking and understanding English in informal social/community contexts
Reading English
For academic purposes
For general communication purposes
Writing English
For academic purposes
For more general communication purposes
Using study resources
Library research skills
Introductory computing skills for study purposes
Extend learners' awareness of cross-cultural differences and of how to use language appropriately to negotiate these differences
Develop strategies appropriate for independent learning in an Australian university
Upon completion of the EAP course, if students do not meet the direct entry criteria for UNE, they have the option of sitting for the next IELTS test conducted at the centre.
Students also receive a Progress Report and a Certificate of Completion.
3. Introductory Academic Program ===>The IAP course is conducted over (5) weeks and aims to develop skills and strategies in:
Academic reading and writing skills
Academic presentation and participation skills
Library and research skills
Basic computer skills for study purposes
Orientation to Australian University teaching and learning practices
Additional units are available in note-taking skills and Australian culture and society. On-going assessment is carried out during the course, with final assessments carried out at the end of the course. Students receive a Certificate of Completion.

The $240 non-refundable International Service Fee includes:

Overseas Student Health Cover (compulsory for all international students in Australia)
