| The English Language Program is held at the Continuing Education location (294 William Avenue), which is about a 15 minute walk away from the main University campus (515 Portage Avenue). The Summer Language Program and the Intensive Summer Session (July) are held at the main campus.
Students in the English Language Programs will benefit from access to a variety of The University of Winnipeg's facilities and resources.
These include...
· An extensive library with over 600,000 books, journals and microforms;
· Computer labs with word processing facilities and free Internet access;
· The Duckworth Athletic Centre, which has an indoor track, a gymnasium with basketball hoops, and racquetball and squash courts, which is also free of charge. For an additional charge, students can also access additional facilities such as the Weight Room;
· A Bookstore where students can buy books, stationary supplies and University of Winnipeg souvenirs.
· The Bulman Student Centre, with pool tables, pinball, and other entertainment.
The University of Winnipeg main campus and the Continuing Education Office are also within walking distance of a variety of features and attractions in downtown Winnipeg:
· The YM-YWCA, which has a pool and other recreational facilities;
· The Centennial Library, the largest public Library in Winnipeg.
· The Main Post Office;
· Shopping at a variety of shops and Malls, including Portage Place and Eaton's Place;
· A wide variety of restaurants and eateries.
All new students receive a University of Winnipeg student card. |

14 week, full-time. Start dates in Fall, Winter, and Spring. Two program options are available for students
Option 1: General English program, focusing on communication skills for daily life. Social Cultural orientation.
Option 2: Academic English program, focusing on communication and study skills needed to participate successfully in a Canadian university.
*English Language Program-Summer Session
One month, full-time, intensive English program, focusing on communication skills. Social-Cultural orientation. Runs in July annually |
